At the time of the British raid the Abbotts had a guest, Elizabeth Quigley of Trenton. She later married Richard Hunt, and their grandson, Richard Hunt, when he was a young
man, said that he often heard his grandmother relate the story of the raid. Elizabeth lived to be 94 years of age and is buried in the old cemetery at White Horse.
